Job Overview:

• The Senior Modern Workplace Solution Engineer is a strategic technical leader responsible for architecting, engineering, and delivering enterprise‑grade Modern Workplace and Microsoft 365 solutions across hybrid and cloud environments. The role drives innovation, operational excellence, and end‑to‑end execution across collaboration, identity, security, AI adoption, automation, on‑premises platforms, and digital transformation initiatives.
• This position requires deep technical expertise, architectural leadership, cross‑functional coordination, and hands‑on engineering experience across Microsoft Cloud, hybrid infrastructure, and modern collaboration platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

Enterprise Architecture & Project Delivery

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Modern Workplace, Microsoft 365, Azure, hybrid identity, and on‑premises infrastructure solutions.
• Oversee end‑to‑end project lifecycle including assessments, architecture documentation (HLD/LLD), solution design, deployment, cutover, and post‑implementation stabilization.
• Develop enterprise architecture roadmaps, modernization blueprints, and workload transformation strategies.
• Ensure all solutions meet scalability, performance, compliance, and operational requirements.

Microsoft 365 Engineering & Governance

• Engineer and administer Microsoft 365 workloads including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Purview, and Microsoft 365 Groups.
• Define governance standards, lifecycle automation, provisioning policies, retention, compliance, and collaboration guardrails.
• Lead operational excellence efforts such as monitoring, automation, documentation, and service optimization.

Copilot & AI-Driven Workplace Solutions

• Drive adoption and integration of Microsoft Copilot (M365, Windows, Security, and custom plugins) into business processes.
• Design AI‑augmented workflows, automation, and intelligence capabilities to improve productivity and reduce manual operations.
• Build reusable patterns for secure, compliant, enterprise‑ready AI deployment.

Exchange Server & Email Infrastructure

• Architect, deploy, and support Exchange Server (2013–2019), hybrid Exchange configurations, coexistence environments, and modernization initiatives.
• Lead migrations from legacy Exchange to Exchange Online, ensuring seamless identity, mail routing, and compliance integrations.
• Provide Tier‑4 escalation support for complex Exchange issues.

SharePoint Engineering & Development

• Lead architecture, engineering, and customization of SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server environments.
• Design intranets, collaboration portals, workflows, Power Apps solutions, integrations, and enterprise knowledge platforms.
• Oversee development of SharePoint components, templates, web parts, scripts, and automation assets.

Identity & Access Management (IAM)

• Architect secure, scalable identity frameworks using Entra ID, Active Directory, Hybrid Identity, Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, and Zero Trust principles.
• Engineer and support identity synchronization (AD Connect), federation (ADFS), domain services, SSO, and lifecycle access governance.
• Implement identity analytics, privileged identity management, and security hardening.

Azure Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure IaaS/PaaS services including compute, storage, networking, and platform security.
• Support hybrid cloud workloads, VPNs, firewalls, virtual networks, policy enforcement, and governance structures.
• Optimize cloud architecture for performance, security, and cost.

Automation, DevOps, and Integration Engineering

• Build enterprise automation solutions using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Azure Functions, Power Automate, Logic Apps, and DevOps pipelines.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks for onboarding, governance, reporting, provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Integrate systems through APIs, Graph SDK, and enterprise orchestration tools.

Enterprise Migration Leadership

• Lead large‑scale migration programs including Google Workspace-to-M365, Exchange and other email Servers migration to M365, Teams, SharePoint, file servers, and tenant‑to‑tenant transitions.
• Manage discovery, assessment, wave planning, coexistence, cutover strategy, and user enablement activities.
• Ensure migrations are secure, optimized, and aligned with business continuity requirements.

Operational Excellence & Tier-4 Engineering

• Provide top‑tier engineering support for escalations across Microsoft 365, Azure, identity, Exchange, Teams, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Develop operational runbooks, engineering playbooks, troubleshooting guides, and incident response frameworks.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, service optimization, and proactive system improvements.

Leadership, Mentorship & Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead engineering teams, provide technical direction, and ensure high‑quality delivery across multiple projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and create a structured knowledge‑sharing and skill‑development environment.
• Collaborate with internal leadership, customers, and cross‑functional teams to drive successful project outcomes and technology adoption.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Champion modernization and innovation initiatives across AI, automation, hybrid identity, and cloud engineering.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies aligned with business goals.
• Promote DevOps culture, Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC), standardization, and advanced engineering practices.

Required Experience & Expertise

• 7–10+ years in enterprise engineering across Microsoft 365, Azure, Modern Workplace, and hybrid/on‑prem infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in identity, automation, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, security, and collaboration platforms.
• Proven experience leading large‑scale cloud transformation and modernization projects.
• Strong architectural documentation capability (High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), solution blueprints, operational processes).

Core Certifications (Preferred)

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Additional advantages: Security Operations Analyst, Identity and Access Administrator, Power Platform, DevOps certifications.
