About the Role

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Geospatial IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Asaba, Delta State.
  • This role is ideal for someone passionate about geospatial infrastructure, GNSS technologies, and IT systems.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, and support of our Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) network and its associated web services.
  • You will play a critical role in maintaining reliable GNSS data services, configuring user receivers for real-time network corrections, troubleshooting system performance, and supporting client-side connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain CORS infrastructure and web-based GNSS service platforms
  • Configure GNSS receivers (rovers and base) to connect to the CORS network using appropriate protocols (e.g., NTRIP)
  • Monitor data flow, uptime, and system health of the CORS network
  • Provide remote and on-site IT support to users and survey teams
  • Manage GNSS account creation, credentials, and access control via the CORS web portal
  • Collaborate with network administrators and geospatial engineers to ensure service continuity and optimisation
  • Document all configurations, incidents, and resolutions for future reference

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or HND in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields
  • 1-3 years of experience in IT support services in a geospatial environment
  • Familiarity with GNSS receivers (Tersus, Hi target, South, etc.) and correction formats (RTCM, CMR, NTRIP)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in network configurations and real-time data systems
  • Experience managing web-based services and databases is an advantage

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Solid understanding of GNSS principles and real-time positioning
  • Comfortable with Linux/Windows server environments
  • Ability to write basic scripts or configure devices over network protocols
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive, accountable, and capable of working independently.
