Data Analyst – NYSC Intern at SPIE Oil & Gas Services

SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Analyst (NYSC Intern) to join our team. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data gathering, cleaning, visualization, and reporting to support decision-making within the business. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a keen interest in data-driven problem-solving within the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and analyze data from various departments (operations, HR, finance, etc.)
• Assist in developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
• Work with stakeholders to identify business trends and generate actionable insights
• Support the preparation of periodic data reports and presentations
• Maintain accurate documentation of data sources, methods, and processes
• Identify inconsistencies in data and recommend solutions for data quality improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects that require data analysis
• Ensure data privacy and compliance in line with internal data protection guidelines

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must be a serving NYSC Corps Member
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or SQL is an added advantage
• Good understanding of basic data analysis principles
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment
