Job Overview
PalmPay is hiring a Data Analyst to turn data into actionable insights that support business growth, risk control, and inventory management. This role will support decision-making, improve internal processes, and promote financial inclusion through data.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and manage data from banking systems and digital platforms
- Analyze customer behavior, loan performance, deposits, and risk trends
- Build and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards
- Provide insights to support credit, product, and marketing decisions
- Monitor KPIs and recommend process improvements
- Generate reports for regulators (CBN, NDIC) and support audits
- Use tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, and preferably Python or R for analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2+ years in a data analytics role (preferably in financial services or fintech)
- Strong skills in Excel, SQL, and Power BI or Tableau
- Experience with financial data (loans, deposits, transactions)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Knowledge of microfinance operations and regulation
- Familiarity with core banking systems and mobile money
- Python experience is an added advantage
- Passion for financial inclusion
