AYGF is a regional non-governmental organisation established in April 2003 and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja, Nigeria, in July 2006. AYGF has an operational base in the USA, Canada, Zambia, and Nigeria. Over the years, the organisation has implemented several projects addressing issues related to migration, Public Health, Education, Governance, Livelihood, environment, climate change, Humanitarian and Emergency Support, and Food and Nutrition security.
Job Summary
- The IT Intern will support the IT Department in daily operations, including technical support, system maintenance, and digital infrastructure monitoring.
- The intern will gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting, network support, hardware/software configuration, and IT project execution, while ensuring responsiveness to staff needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support installation and configuration of IT equipment (laptops, printers, routers, etc.).
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issuesMaintain and update.
- IT inventory records and asset tagging.
- Provide basic support for email, VPN, and productivity tools (e.g., MS Teams, Google Workspace).
- Assist in system backup processes and data recovery drills.
- Support ERP and DHIS testing or onboarding where required.
- Participate in training sessions and contribute to internal documentation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Senior IT Officer/IT Manager.
Qualifications
- OND / HND / BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or currently enrolled).
- Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common collaboration tools.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic IT environment.
