Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc was incorporated in September 1960 as a private limited liability company, and commenced operations in 1962 with an installed capacity of 600 metric tons per day. The Company was converted to a public limited liability company in 1978, and its shares were subsequently listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. In its 54-year history, Flour Mills has remained at the forefront of wheat milling in Nigeria. Today, we have a rated milling capacity of over 8,000 metric tons per day, making it one of the largest single-site mills in the world. The Company’s flagship mill, located in Apapa, Lagos, comprises 10 integrated mills. Each mill was designed as a multilevel operation to optimise the use of gravity in the sifting process, thereby reducing energy requirements. Additionally, the Company maintains dedicated mills for processing various wheat varieties to produce distinct flour types.

To analyse sales data, market trends, and business processes to provide insights that drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency within the sales team.

THE JOB

  • Collect and analyze sales, customer, and market data to identify business opportunities and risks.
  • Develop business reports, dashboards, and performance tracking tools for the sales team.
  • Interpret key sales trends and provide recommendations to improve revenue and market share.
  • Support sales forecasting and budgeting processes by analyzing historical data and market conditions.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and suggest data-driven improvements to optimize sales operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain) to align business strategies.
  • Monitor competitor activities and industry developments to inform sales strategies.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by maintaining clean and structured databases.

THE PERSON MUST

  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret data and uncover actionable insights.
  • Have proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel (advanced), SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Be collaborative, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

  •  B.Sc. in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Information Technology or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in business analysis, sales analytics, or a related role.
