- We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy for our cross-border remittance and POS solutions.
- Must have deep fintech expertise to translate market needs into secure, scalable products for consumers and merchants in Canada and Nigeria.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision:
- Define and own the product roadmap for international money transfer services and POS/terminal platforms.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, user needs, and competitive opportunities in global remittances and payment acceptance.
- Collaborate with leadership to align product strategy with regulatory, compliance, and business goals.
Product Development & Delivery:
- Translate business objectives into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with engineering, design, and compliance teams to deliver secure, scalable fintech applications.
- Oversee the development of merchant-facing POS terminals, mobile apps, and backend transaction-processing systems.
Customer & Merchant Experience:
- Conduct user research and gather feedback from both senders/receivers of remittances and merchant/POS users.
- Optimize onboarding, KYC, and transaction flows for speed, security, and ease of use.
Regulatory & Compliance Integration:
- Partner with the Compliance Officer to incorporate AML/KYC, CBN, FINTRAC, and PCI-DSS requirements directly into product design.
- Ensure all new features meet regulatory standards in both Nigeria and Canada.
Metrics & Growth:
- Define KPIs (transaction success rates, settlement times, merchant adoption) and drive continuous improvement.
- Work with marketing and operations to support go-to-market launches and merchant acquisition strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA a plus.
- 5–7+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years in fintech/payments/remittance or POS/terminal ecosystems.
- Proven track record of launching cross-border money transfer or payment acceptance productsat scale.
- Strong understanding of POS hardware/software ecosystems, card-present and card-not-present transactions, and settlement processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in Canada (FINTRAC/MSB) and Nigeria (CBN IMTO/Payment Service Provider).
- Excellent skills in Agile/Scrum, product discovery, and data-driven decision-making.
- Technical fluency to collaborate effectively with engineering (APIs, microservices, mobile/web development).
Preferred Tools / Stack Awareness:
- Product & Project: Jira, MS-DevOps, Clickup, Slack, Notion
- Prototyping/Design: Figma, Miro
- Analytics: Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics
- Familiarity with payment APIs (e.g., Paystack, Flutterwave, Stripe) and POS device SDKs.
