Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive administrative, human resources, and organisational support to the smelter care and maintenance team at Wonderkop Smelter
- Organising and coordinating diaries, meetings, events, and site functions
- Preparing and managing routine correspondence, reports, presentations, and filing systems in line with compliance standards
- Assisting with HRD and HR processes including onboarding and offboarding, leave management, time and attendance, and maintaining accurate training records
- Coordinating training and compliance documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory, audit, and legal requirements
- Acting as the first-line advisor for employee queries relating to HR, administration, or policies
- Supporting management in communicating and applying company policies and procedures
- Monitoring process adherence and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in administrative and HR/D areas
- Arranging and managing third-party services, bookings, procurement (using SAP or COUPA), and office supplies
- Supervising and managing support staff such as cleaners
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, environmental, and health and safety regulations (SafeWork and Fatal Hazard Protocols)
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 (essential)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Administration, Finance, HR, or related field (will be advantageous)
- At least 3 years’ experience in administration, Finance, HR, or HRD roles, preferably in industrial, plant, or mining environments
- Experience coordinating and supporting cross-functional teams, and in process and compliance administration
- Experience with SAP (MM, FI, HR) and COUPA (advantageous)
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP, COUPA)
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and people management abilities
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills
- Knowledge of HSECQ, safety legislation, and process improvement principles
