Job Overview
- We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to design, implement, and maintain server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power our web and mobile applications.
- The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of our systems while collaborating closely with frontend and mobile teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems, APIs, and services.
- Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Design and manage relational and non-relational databases.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of applications.
- Implement automated testing and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and best practices.
- Document backend processes, APIs, and workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of professional experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in backend languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, Ruby, or Go.
- Experience with database technologies: SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and API integration.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless architectures.
- Understanding of security best practices and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodology.
- Experience in fintech, healthtech, or other impact-driven sectors.
