About the job
You’ll focus on:
- Conduct data clean-up processes within Google Sheets to remove duplicates, correct errors, regularize formats and ensure data accuracy.
- Support teams with data structuring.
- Support teams with data entity modeling and normalization
- Support teams with data entity repository creation and management
- Design and implement database solutions that meet the organization’s requirements for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Perform database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems.
- Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization techniques.
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate access controls, encryption mechanisms, and backup/recovery procedures.
- Monitor database systems to identify and resolve issues proactively, minimizing downtime and maximizing uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand database requirements and provide technical guidance and support.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in database management to recommend and implement best practices.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and support.
- Developing custom queries and reports as needed.
- Developing custom scripts or tools to automate common tasks.
- Providing technical support and training to users of the database system.
- Developing and implementing database strategies, policies, and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
You’ll be a good fit for this role if you have experience with:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable experience in a data administration or database administration role.
- Strong analytical and understanding of data cleaning, data structuring, data modeling.
- Excellent written & verbal communication/Interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
