Responsibilities
The ideal candidate who will be reporting to the Directors and the Partners must be able to:
- Administer and maintain the firm’s IT infrastructures and information systems.
- Be responsible for information/digital security compliance, involving implementing IT controls to comply with Global IT Standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies related to cyber security, data privacy, and IT infrastructure.
- Digitize manual business processes.
- Monitor and analyze the success of IT initiatives and projects and continually develop and evaluate new technologies and tools for the firm.
- Plan and oversee the installation and maintenance of computer systems, hardware and networks.
- Perform an ongoing support and maintenance of all hardware, software, and network components.
- Analyze resource utilization and develop strategies to optimize performance.
- Configure and administer On-Prem Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, DHCP, DNS, Folder Redirection and WSUS for security updates/patch management.
- Configure and manage Sophos XG 210 Firewall, including firewall rules for content filtering and internet usage, intrusion prevention system and threat monitoring/reporting etc.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 environment, including Microsoft Exchange for email, Microsoft Teams for collaboration, Microsoft Intune for Security and Compliance, Azure Active Directory, Multi-Factor Authentication, and 0365 license management, etc.
- Configure and maintain Symantec Endpoint Protection antivirus of individual systems and servers from a central console.
- Manage the firm’s website, including SSL certificate on DigiCert website.
- Perform daily server/system backup on QNAP NAS Storage and maintenance.
- Monitor the firm’s network and escalate to ISP in case of outage or poor performance.
- Maintain the Local Area Network (LAN) after initial network setup.
- Support global applications peculiar to BDO on ServiceNow Portal.
- Manage the firm’s Public DNS records.
- Direct the activities of the help desk to ensure that IT needs of users are met.
- Manage IT inventory, purchases, vendor recommendation and license management.
- Transfer knowledge, coach, and mentor subordinates.
- Provide second level helpdesk support.
- Execute any other job or project related to IT.
Qualifications and Experience
- A good First Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering from any reputable institution.
- Proven experience as an IT Head or similar roles.
- Age: Not more than 35 years with minimum of 10 years post qualification experience in Information and Communication Technology
- Must be multi-talented, adaptable to change, and proficient with proven written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, security, and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with relevant compliance and regulatory standards.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, PMP, ITIL, or COBIT 2019 are desirable.
- Hands-on experience of audit tools in a reputable Professional Services’ firms will be an added advantage
