Job overview
- We are looking for a skilled Accountant with 3–5years of experience to join our team on a 3-month contract basis.
- The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of setting up effective accounting processes.
- Prior experience in supporting startups will be a strong advantage. Due to the nature of the role, proximity to our office location is a key requirement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including payables, receivables, and payroll.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and reports.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping and compliance with statutory/tax obligations.
- Set up or strengthen accounting systems and controls suitable for a growing business.
- Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Prior experience working with startups or setting up accounting processes is highly desirable.
- Must live within close proximity to the office (Ikeja, Lagos State).
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
