Job Overview:
We are seeking an Anaesthesia Assistant to support our anaesthesiologists and surgical teams in delivering safe, high-quality care. The role involves preparing anaesthesia equipment, assisting during procedures, monitoring patients, and ensuring adherence to safety and infection control protocols in theatre and recovery areas.
Job Description
- Prepare and check anaesthesia machines, drugs, and equipment.
- Assist anaesthesiologists during induction, monitoring, and recovery.
- Monitor patient vitals and promptly escalate concerns.
- Maintain sterility and infection control standards in theatre.
- Clean, disinfect, and restock anaesthesia equipment.
Qualifications:
- Certificate/Diploma in Anaesthesia Technology, or perioperative theatre Technology or equivalent.
- Previous experience in anaesthesia assistant role
- Registration and valid license with the relevant council.
- BLS/ACLS certification is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of anaesthesia procedures and equipment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- High attention to detail, safety, and patient care.
- Flexibility to work shifts, nights, and weekends.
