DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparefinal accounts and ensure accurate maintenance of general accounts.
  • Prepare corporate budgets and periodic management accounts to aid decision making by executive management.
  • Maintain   effective   accounting   systems,   procedures,   and   controls   to   safeguard corporate financial assets.
  • Ensure  that  corporate  accounting  practices  meet  statutory  requirements  following professional accounting standards.
  • Initiateand participate actively in the computerization of accounting system.
  • Monitor  the  reconciliation  of  expenditures  within  each  profit  and  cost  centers  for budget review purposes.
  • Maintain a healthy banking relationship and ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of transactions.
  • Ensure   efficient   processing   of   all   accounting   transactions,   proper   and   accurate recording of transactions in the cash books, journals, ledger books, etc.
  • Maintainliaison with Internal and External Auditors and handle all issues, audit queries, exception reports generated by the Auditors.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Aminimum of First degree or its equivalent in Accounting or related field is required.
  • A postgraduate qualification in accounting or related fields is required.
  • Certification  in  or  professional  membership  of  one  or  more  of  these  professional bodies- ICAN, ACCA, CPA and CFA, is mandatory.
  • The  candidate  must  have  good  knowledge  of  MS.  Excel,  MS  Word,  accounting software.
  • The  candidate  must  possess  not  less  than  5  years’  experience  post  NYSC  with  a minimum of 4 years working experience in related field.
