This internship is designed for curious, driven individuals who want to learn how attackers think, and use that knowledge to strengthen defenses.
Responsibilities
- Assist in reconnaissance and information gathering on target systems in a controlled environment
- Support vulnerability scanning and document findings for internal review
- Learn and apply basic penetration testing techniques (web apps, networks, endpoints) under supervision
- Research and document common exploits and attack techniques (OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, etc.)
- Help build and maintain lab environments for offensive security testing
- Participate in red team simulations as a learner, contributing to attack chain documentation
- Document findings and assist in preparing technical reports for internal security teams
Requirements
- Foundational knowledge of networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cybersecurity basics
- Familiarity with at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Keen interest in ethical hacking, penetration testing, or red teaming
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Willingness to learn and follow strict ethical and professional guidelines
- Relevant certifications or lab practice (e.g., TryHackMe, HackTheBox, OSCP labs) is a plus
