Nigerdock Nigeria Plc – FZE is West Africa’s Leading Industrial Corporation focused on Oil&Gas construction and major marine services including offshore and pressure vessel fabrication, ship building and repair, industrial training and specialised Oil&Gas and Maritime support.

  • The Data Analyst/Tender buyer will work with the Supply Chain office, reporting to the Supply Chain Coordinator and assist in ensuring that the company’s objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare presentations as requested for executive-level communication.
  • Identify valuable insights from mathematical or statistical treatment of available data to ensure a smoother ramp-up period for the terminal.
  • Manage a high-volume workload proactively to a consistently high standard, by setting priorities, objectives, and target dates.
  • Using process improvement approaches to all aspects of work; identifying and implementing efficient administrative practices and anticipating future support needs.
  • Support various improvements/optimizations by providing the voice of data.
  • Act as a sparring partner for management when it comes to providing data-based insights in various operational areas.
  • Act as a focal point in collaboration with the whole departments to further Develop the business intelligence solution.
  • Act as the focal person/super user promoting the self-service business intelligent solution and supporting the learning curve of the organization.
  • Oversee the reporting of all operational performance indicators, both internally and externally.
  • Fulfill the tender buyer role in the procurement unit
  • Deliver up-to-par visualizations when required.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and other statistical tools.
  • More than 2 years of experience as a data analyst or in a related field.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
  • Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solutions recommendations.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • A good team player, balanced with the autonomy and motivation to produce individually.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with individuals of any level.
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Ability to work to deadlines and can assimilate information/instructions quickly.
  • Experience in the procurement (Supply chain) field is a great plus (knowledge of Procurement basics is necessary.
  • Strong team ethics and collaboration skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a discreet manner
