Job Overview
We are seeking to recruit a Database Developer Intern who is fluent in Arabic to join our IT team. The intern will support the development and enhancement of database-driven applications, working closely with developers and business teams to design, implement, and optimize database structures and queries.
Job Description
- Assist in designing and developing new database objects (tables, views, functions, stored procedures).
- Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and application integration.
- Support data migration, data transformation, and cleansing tasks.
- Help integrate databases with internal systems and external applications.
- Participate in building dashboards and reports for business teams.
- Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and translate them into technical database solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation for developed database features.
- Provide translation or communication support in Arabic where necessary
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle).
- Understanding of relational database concepts (tables, keys, joins, normalization).
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills in English and Arabic (required).
- Eagerness to learn and apply new database technologies.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, etc.).
- Familiarity with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Knowledge of a programming/scripting language (Python, Java, or C#).
- Understanding of APIs and data integration concepts.
