Role Description

• We are seeking a skilled and security-conscious DevOps Engineer to join our technology team.
• This role is critical to enhancing our infrastructure automation, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our digital banking and technology platforms.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and a keen understanding of the regulatory and compliance standards in the financial industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to support fast and secure deployment cycles.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Collaborate with software engineering, QA, cybersecurity, and IT operations teams to build secure, scalable systems.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of production environments through effective monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
• Integrate security practices (DevSecOps) into the development and deployment lifecycle to meet banking compliance standards.
• Manage cloud (AWS, Azure, or private cloud) and on-prem infrastructure with a strong focus on security and performance.
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation.
• Maintain detailed documentation of systems, processes, and configurations to support audits and compliance checks.
• Design, implement, and manage containerized applications using Docker, ensuring efficient deployment across multiple environments (dev, staging, production).
• Implement and manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker Swarm for automated deployment, scaling, and high availability of containerized applications.
• Enforce security best practices for containerized applications, including image scanning, secrets management (using tools like AWS Secrets Manager, Google Secret Manager), and secure runtime configurations, to meet banking compliance standards.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application and infrastructure performance at scale using tools like Prometheus and Grafana, ensuring system reliability and efficiency Optimize resource utilization to presence unnecessary infrastructure cost.

Requirements

• 3+ years of DevOps or related experience, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Solid understanding of secure system design and banking-related regulatory requirements.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms(AWS, Azure, GCP) and cost-effective container management solutions.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Docker and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
• Experience in implementing security best practices (image scanning, secrets management, secure runtime configurations) for containerized environments.
• Strong skills in performance monitoring and optimization using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and cloud-native solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization practices (e.g., spot instances, auto-scaling) and efficient container scaling strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience working within an ISO 27001 or PCI-DSS compliant environment.
• Certified DevOps Engineer (AWS/Azure/GCP), CKA, or equivalent.
• Understanding of container security and network security best practices.
