Job overview 

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the entire training academy structure, ensuring that technology-related training programs are world-class, commercially viable and aligned with industry needs.
  • The Director, Training Academy will oversee the planning, development and delivery of training programs focused on digital skills, enterprise technology and professional certification courses.
  • The role involves managing instructors, partnerships, curriculum development and business growth of the academy.

 Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership, strategic planning and direction for the Training Academy.
  • Develop and implement training programs, curriculum and certification paths across relevant ICT and digital skill areas.
  • Identify and onboard industry experts, trainers and mentors.
  • Establish partnerships with training bodies, certification institutes and vendors (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Cisco etc.).
  • Drive revenue growth by developing training proposals, managing enrollment targets and exploring new business opportunities.
  • Oversee training operations including scheduling, course delivery, quality assurance and student experience.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging technologies and skills in demand.
  • Track training performance, prepare reports and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the academy complies with regulatory and certification standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field. A Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
  • 10 – 12 years experience in Training Management, ICT Consulting, Learning & Development or a similar leadership role.
  • Proven experience in establishing or managing a technical training institute or academy.
  • Strong knowledge of digital transformation trends and enterprise technology skills in demand.
  • Experience with curriculum development, instructional design and e-learning platforms.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to generate business opportunities and drive revenue.
