- The Enterprise Software Developer will audit, upgrade and rebuild our PHP-based custom ERP system with a focus on migrating to the Python programming language, ensuring data integrity, and delivering an upgraded solution with minimal operational disruption.
- The ideal candidate/team must be able to rewrite a PHP-based ERP system to Python.
Responsibilities
- Assess and document the existing PHP ERP system.
- Recommend an upgrade or rebuild strategy using Python (preferred) or another modern framework.
- Optimise system performance, database structures, and security protocols.
- Ensure data integrity and seamless migration with minimal downtime.
- Provide clear documentation, technical justifications, and user support for the transition.
Requirements
- Proven experience in ERP or complex application development.
- Strong expertise in PHP (Laravel framework preferred) and Python Programming Language
- Hands-on experience with modern stacks (Node.js, React, Vue).
- Ability to conduct system audits, database optimisation, and security enhancements.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
