Responsibilities
- The Java Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing new features and services, and maintaining existing ones, consistently delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance financial applications for our solutions.
- The ideal candidate should have deep experience in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and transaction processing systems.
- They should be able to work with minimal or no supervision, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and deliver on time.
- Additionally, they should have strong system design skills, technical task breakdown capabilities, and excellent time management.
- As a Senior Java Engineer, you will be responsible for building and optimizing real-time payment processing, merchant onboarding, banking workflows, and API integrations with financial institutions.
- You will collaborate closely with other software engineers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to deliver cutting-edge digital financial services while ensuring best practices, company standards, and compliance with PCI-DSS and other banking regulations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, preferably in fintech or financial services
- Basic or solid experience working with ISO 8583.
- Experience integrating with payment gateways, banking, and fintech APIs.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and MQTT.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in Java with experience in the Spring Boot framework. Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to consistently deliver high-quality products with zero defects on the first attempt.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
