Job overview 

  • The Human Resource Executive is responsible for supporting all HR functions, ensuring efficient operations of the HR department, and helping to build a productive, compliant, and positive work environment.
  • This role focuses on recruitment, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labour laws.

 Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process: job posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Maintain an updated database of all staff and job applicants.
  • Coordinate staff orientation and ensure new hires are properly integrated into the company culture.

Employee Relations

  • Support employee engagement initiatives to foster motivation and retention.
  • Address staff grievances promptly and escalate serious issues where necessary.
  • Promote effective communication between management and staff.

Performance Management

  • Assist in implementing performance appraisal systems and tracking KPIs.
  • Support managers with performance review processes and documentation.

HR Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records, including attendance, leave, and payroll documentation.
  • Prepare HR reports and ensure all HR files are up-to-date and confidential.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.

Training & Development

  • Identify training needs and assist in organizing internal and external training sessions.
  • Track employee development and training outcomes.

Compliance & Policy Implementation

  • Enforce HR policies, disciplinary actions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Keep up to date with labour law regulations and HR best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a similar HR role.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, Nigerian labour law, and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR software (e.g., Zoho People, BambooHR, etc.).
