- The ICT Officer will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and support of Mitera Health HMO’s information and communication technology infrastructure and systems
- This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our health-tech platforms, data security, network stability, and providing technical support to all departments, including the core Mapp mobile application.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, applications, and networks.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all IT-related issues encountered by staff and internal systems.
- Manage network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and security systems (firewalls, VPNs).
- Ensure data security and integrity, implementing and monitoring backup solutions, disaster recovery plans, and access controls.
- Oversee the performance and availability of core health-tech systems, including the Mapp mobile application backend, Electronic Health Records (EHR) integrations, WooCommerce, and claims processing platforms.
- Implement and manage software deployments, updates, and patches across the organization.
- Monitor system performance and capacity, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., NDPR, local data protection laws) in all IT operations.
- Assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new IT solutions and technologies to support business growth and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets and documentation of network configurations and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in an IT support, system administration, or network administration role.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience with database management (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and programming skills is a plus
- Understanding of software development lifecycles and mobile application infrastructure is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, MCSA) are an advantage.
