Job Overview
- As a Data Analysis Instructor, you will design, deliver, and continuously refine learning programs that prepare students for careers in data analysis and analytics.
- You will mentor learners through practical projects, real-world case studies, and simulations, bridging theory with hands-on practice. Working with curriculum designers and program leads, you will align lessons with industry standards, in-demand tools, and measurable learner outcomes.

Responsibilities
Curriculum Design & Delivery:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive, data-focused curriculum covering data collection, cleaning, visualization, analysis, and reporting.
- Design interactive workshops, case studies, and capstone projects simulating real-world data analysis scenarios.
- Incorporate industry-standard tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Python (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, seaborn).
- Build a progressive learning pathway that scales from fundamentals (data literacy) to advanced analytics (predictive and prescriptive analysis).
Learner Mentorship & Coaching:
- Guide students through practical data projects, including exploratory analysis, dashboard creation, and business reporting.
- Conduct one-on-one mentoring sessions with constructive feedback on learner assignments and portfolios.
- Foster a growth mindset, encouraging experimentation, iteration, and real-world problem-solving.
- Track learner progress with KPIs, project outcomes, and competency-based assessments.
Hands-On Data Analysis Simulations:
- Lead data hackathons, mini-projects, and simulations to reinforce learning outcomes.
- Coach learners on data storytelling, visualization best practices, and insight communication.
- Demonstrate real-world trade-offs in data accuracy, efficiency, and business decision-making.
Collaboration & Community Engagement:
- Work with curriculum and program teams to keep content updated with the latest tools and practices.
- Facilitate group projects, peer reviews, and community sessions to boost learner engagement.
- Collaborate with industry professionals and alumni for guest lectures, networking, and mentorship opportunities.
Assessment & Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate student projects and capstones with structured rubrics and clear feedback.
- Use learner feedback, surveys, and analytics to continuously improve course delivery and content.
- Stay current with emerging data tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
Metrics & Reporting:
- Monitor and report on learner performance, engagement, and completion rates.
- Share insights with program leadership to enhance curriculum effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of learner outcomes, progress, and teaching impact.
Qualifications
Selection Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional work experience in Data Analysis
- Teaching or mentoring experience: Working or volunteering at tech boot camps, and training schools, and experience as a tutor, mentor or online instructor are all great experiences.
- Fluent in English.
- Familiarity with online teaching, Learning Management Systems (LMS), or content management systems (CMS).
- Ability to explain complex topics in a non-technical way.
- Love for the fast-paced culture with the ability to self-organise and manage your work
- Strong technical and information literacy skills
- Comfortable with communicating with large and small groups of people and have a desire to guide students in an empathetic manner.
- Prepared to share personal insights into the industry and profession with students
- Able to learn on the fly.
