Job overview
- We are seeking a skilled IP Engineer to design, implement, and support IP-based network infrastructure for seamless data, voice, and video transmission.
- The ideal candidate will ensure network reliability, security, and high performance across core and access layers.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain IP/MPLS network infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot routing, switching, or connectivity issues.
- Implement and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Support integration of IP transport for voice (VoIP), data, and mobile services.
- Perform network upgrades, patches, and capacity planning.
- Ensure network security through proper access controls and firewall configurations.
- Document network topology, configurations, and changes.
- Provide support for network incidents and escalations.
Requirements
- Degree or HND in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics, or related field.
- 2–5 years experience in IP networking, preferably in telecom.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and QoS.
- Relevant certificates (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP) are an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
