Job Description
- We are seeking a highly skilled Internet Protocol (IP) Specialist to design, manage, and optimize our IP networks.
- This role is crucial in ensuring seamless connectivity, security, and performance of our telecommunications infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- IP Network Design & Optimization – Architect, configure, and manage scalable IP networks for high performance and reliability.
- Routing & Switching – Implement and maintain advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies.
- Network Security – Deploy firewalls, VPNs, and cybersecurity protocols to protect IP networks from threats and vulnerabilities.
- QoS & Traffic Management – Ensure network performance meets service-level agreements (SLAs) by optimizing bandwidth and reducing latency.
- IP Addressing & Management – Oversee IPv4/IPv6 implementation, subnetting, and IP allocation.
- Network Troubleshooting & Maintenance – Diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.
- Collaboration & Vendor Management – Work closely with cross-functional teams, ISPs, and equipment vendors to enhance network capabilities.
- Compliance & Documentation – Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and maintain detailed network documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IP networking, telecom infrastructure, and internet services.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Mikrotik, or Huawei networking equipment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, VLANs, VoIP, and network security.
- Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
