Responsibilities
- Hardware Troubleshooting: Should be able to support in quickly diagnosing and resolving hardware-related issues, such as problems with computers, peripherals, and network equipment.
- Field Support: In cases where the issues cannot be resolved remotely, it will be relevant to support with visiting Computer Village or other suppliers to source the necessary parts or equipment and handle repairs directly, basically more like the hardware troubleshooting for cost reduction.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, and other peripherals.
- Support the IT team with day-to-day tasks, including software installations, updates, and upgrades.
- Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access in various systems.
- Help maintain IT documentation, including manuals, FAQs, and other support materials.
- Participate in IT projects, such as software rollouts, system upgrades, and security assessments.
- Support to ensure compliance with company policies and data security standards.
- Research and recommend improvements to optimize IT processes and efficiency.
Requirements
- Familiarity with troubleshooting common IT issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently serving in the National Youth Service Corps [NYSC].
- Prior experience in a helpdesk or IT support role is a plus.
- A Degree in Computer Engineering is compulsory
- Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and networking fundamentals is a plus.
