Responsibilities
- Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including networks, servers, hardware, and software systems.
- Oversee system and network security, including data protection and disaster recovery measures.
- Supervise, lead, and support the IT team; provide coaching and training where needed.
- Manage IT budgets, vendors, service contracts, and procurement of technology assets.
- Monitor IT system performance and recommend improvements.
- Ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of enterprise systems.
- Coordinate troubleshooting and provide support to resolve system issues.
- Develop and implement IT policies, processes, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and industry requirements.
- Lead IT projects including upgrades, implementations, and integrations.
- Liaise with other departments to understand technology needs and provide solutions.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, hardware, infrastructure, and IT service management.
- Hands-on experience with databases, security, backup and recovery, and virtualization.
- Proven ability to manage IT projects and lead technical teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. ITIL, Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft, PMP) are an added advantage.
