Summary
- We are seeking a competent and proactive IT Hardware Engineer to manage, maintain, and support the hospital’s IT hardware infrastructure.
- The successful candidate will ensure reliable operation of computer systems, networks, and connected medical IT equipment to support clinical and administrative services.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, servers, printers, UPS systems, and other IT hardware.
- Provide technical support to clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Monitor and maintain network hardware including switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points, and cabling.
- Support IT interfaces for medical equipment and hospital systems.
- Ensure system uptime, data security, and compliance with hospital IT policies.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and documentation.
- Procurement of laptops, and other Gadget as required in the hospital.
- Liaise with vendors for hardware repairs, upgrades, and procurement.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2-6 years’ relevant IT hardware or technical support experience.
- Experience in a healthcare environment is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals.
- Basic networking and server support skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues promptly.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Certifications (Added Advantage):
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft or equivalent IT certifications
Working Conditions
- Hospital-based role with on-site technical support responsibilities.
- May require shift, weekend, or on-call support.
