Job Overview
- The IT Support Officer is responsible for providing technical assistance and support across the organization.
- This role covers system troubleshooting, network support, and CCTV monitoring/maintenance.
- The officer ensures smooth IT operations by responding to issues promptly, maintaining IT equipment, and supporting staff with technology-related needs.
Responsibilities
System Support:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches on systems.
- Assist users with software-related issues, application installation, and system access.
Network Support:
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, switches, routers, and access points.
- Escalate network-related issues to service providers and follow up for resolution.
- Assist in deploying and maintaining internet connections across offices.
CCTV Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Oversee the operation of CCTV systems across locations.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of cameras, DVR/NVR, and related equipment.
- Coordinate with CCTV vendors for repairs, upgrades, or installation.
- Ensure continuous monitoring and recording through proper system functioning.
IT Asset Management:
- Maintain an updated inventory of IT equipment including systems, printers, and network devices.
- Ensure proper documentation of new and reassigned assets.
User Support & Communication:
- Provide timely resolution of IT-related issues raised by staff.
- Guide users on best practices for IT usage, security, and data protection.
- Communicate system outages, upgrades, or changes clearly and promptly.
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in IT or related fields
- 1 – 3 years experience in IT support.
- Certifications like CompTIA A+, N+, CCNA are a plus.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Basic understanding of network systems and configurations.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
