Job  overview 

  • VaultIQ Global Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Junior Technical Support Engineer (Remote) to support the implementation and operations of an enterprise Fleet Management System built on cloud technologies.
  • This role supports a major long-term contract and requires a reliable junior IT professional who can work independently from home, follow instructions carefully, and maintain accurate technical records.
  • The Junior Technical Support Engineer will work directly with the Senior Cloud Engineer to support daily data operations, compliance documents, system checks, and user support.

Key Responsibilities
System Monitoring & Daily Checks

  • Perform daily system health checks
  • Track fleet asset updates (LCV, HGV, plant, equipment)
  • Update driver records and compliance logs
  • Monitor off-road vehicles and record status updates

Data Management & Upload Operations

  • Prepare and upload CSV/XML/JSON files
  • Perform bulk data uploads, corrections, and cleanups
  • Maintain accident, incident, fines, and licensing records
  • Organise digital documents stored on cloud platforms (AWS S3 / OneDrive)
  • Assist with record migration from legacy formats.

Reporting & Documentation:
Assist in generating monthly reports:

  • Maintenance compliance
  • Forward Maintenance Planner (12-month plan)
  • Driver/Operator records
  • Asset utilisation reports
  • Maintain logs, documentation, and audit records
  • Support departmental structure updates and role configurations.

Technical Support & User Assistance:

  • Provide remote support to users (email, ticketing tools, chat)
  • Log issues, escalate incidents, and track resolutions
  • Run routine scripts or tasks assigned by the Senior Engineer
  • Test new updates, integrations, and data changes
  • Assist in API-based data collection tasks (training provided).

Experience Requirements
1–3 years experience in ANY of the following:

  • IT support
  • Data entry / data operations
  • Technical operations
  • Admin/technical assistant roles
  • NYSC completion is acceptable
  • Must be based in Lagos with reliable remote working capability.

Required Skills:

  • Basic understanding of IT or cloud concepts
  • Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Good documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to follow structured instructions
  • Willingness to learn cloud platforms (training provided).

Tools & Platforms You Will Work With:

  • Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
  • CSV / JSON / XML templates
  • AWS S3 (basic file storage operations)
  • Ticketing systems (Jira, Zoho, or equivalent)
  • Microsoft Teams / Outlook / OneDrive
  • Smartsheet (basic updates)
  • Telematics data files from fleet systems.

Certifications (NOT Mandatory, but an Advantage):

  • Basic IT Training Certificate (online or classroom)
  • Google IT Support Professional Certificate
  • CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+)
  • CompTIA A+ (advantage)
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (optional)
  • Any entry-level IT, data, or support certification.

Remuneration

  • N200,000 Monthly Salary
  • N50,000 Monthly Allowance (Broadband, Electricity, Stationery)
  • Total: N250,000 per month (All-Inclusive).
