- We are looking for an experienced MS Windows/Redhat OS Administrator to join our team in Nigeria.
- This role is essential for maintaining and managing our Windows and RedHat operating systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability within our IT environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Windows and Redhat operating systems in a multi-server environment.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes to optimize server and application performance.
- Conduct system backups, disaster recovery testing, and ensure data integrity through planned recovery procedures.
- Implement and enforce security measures including user account management, permissions, and security policies.
- Manage software installations, upgrades, and patches for Windows and Redhat environments.
- Assist in the planning, design, and management of system architecture and infrastructure changes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT departments regarding OS-related issues.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and policies related to Windows and Redhat administration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as an OS Administrator with a focus on Windows Server and Redhat Linux.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Linux shell scripting.
- Experience with server security practices and system vulnerability management.
- Proficiency in system monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within teams.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator or Red Hat Certified System Administrator, are an advantage.
