We are seeking a Registrar in Obstetrics & Gynecology to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about women’s health, flexible with work schedules, and eager to learn under the supervision of senior consultants. This role provides an opportunity to gain advanced training and exposure in obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive health in a modern hospital environment.
Job Description
- Provide clinical care to obstetric and gynecological patients under consultant supervision.
- Participate in antenatal and postnatal clinics, ward rounds, and surgical lists.
- Assist in labor ward management, deliveries (normal and operative), and obstetric emergencies. Be available on call for any Ob-Gyn emergencies.
- Support gynecological procedures, both inpatient and outpatient.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure adherence to hospital protocols.
- Participate in academic meetings, case presentations, and continuous professional development.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Adhere to ethical and professional medical practice while upholding patient confidentiality.
- Engage in continuous professional development and adopt a willingness to learn new medical and surgical practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent.
- Registration and valid license with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- Completion of internship in an accredited hospital.
- Enrolled in an Obstetrics & Gynecology residency/registrar program.
