Job overview 

  • Our client is seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Quality Assurance and Application Support Engineer.
  • The ideal candidate must be able to perform software testing throughout the development lifecycle and provide technical support to users after deployment.
  • The Quality Assurance and Application Support Engineer will ensure that applications meet required quality standards through testing and will provide technical support to clients and internal teams after deployment.

 Responsibilities

  • Design and execute manual and automated test cases.
  • Identify, document and track defects using issue tracking tools.
  • Perform functional testing, regression testing, API testing and performance testing.
  • Use SQL to validate and verify system data.
  • Provide Level One and Level Two technical support for deployed applications.
  • Investigate and resolve software related incidents reported by users.
  • Coordinate application deployment and configuration.
  • Prepare documentation, test reports and incident resolution reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years combined experience in Software Quality Assurance and Application Support.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or Postman.
  • Ability to write and execute SQL queries.
  • Experience with issue tracking systems such as Jira, Zendesk or ServiceNow.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting ability.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
