Job overview
- We’re on a mission to transform how African businesses generate leads and gain insights from social media.
- We’re looking for a highly skilled Fullstack Engineer with expertise in building scalable SaaS products, integrating OpenAI/Langchain, and working across modern frontend and backend stacks.
- This is a high-impact role—you’ll be critical in designing and shipping features that directly power Uri’s AI-driven lead generation engine.
Responsibilities
Backend Development:
- Design and implement services using Python FastAPI within a microservices architecture.
- Build and optimize lead generation pipelines that scrape, process, and enrich social media data.
- Integrate OpenAI and Langchain to power intelligent data insights.
- Manage databases (MongoDB) and caching strategies for scale.
- Integrate third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
Frontend Development:
- Build intuitive, responsive interfaces using React/Next.js.
- Work closely with product designers to translate features into seamless user experiences.
- Ensure smooth integration between backend services and frontend UI.
Collaboration & Quality:
- Maintain high coding standards, testing, and documentation.
- Mentor and collaborate with engineers in a fast-paced environment.
- Contribute to architectural decisions that balance performance, security, and scalability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Python FastAPI, Nest.js/Node.js, Typescript, and microservices architecture.
- Strong proficiency with MongoDB and caching mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience integrating OpenAI APIs, Langchain, and third-party social APIs.
- Proficiency with React (or Next.js) for building scalable frontend applications.
- Familiarity with Azure Service Bus (or equivalent messaging systems).
- Strong understanding of API design, security, and system scalability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Experience with machine learning models for data-driven insights.
- Knowledge of cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP) and DevOps best practices.
- Prior experience working in a SaaS startup environment.
