Job Overview
- You will be responsible for scoping, designing, and developing Bill of Materials with pricing for solutions relating to Networks & Collaboration Solution and Intelligent Building Management System.
- You will architect for other areas of solution as the company deem fit from time to time.
- Your goal is to win the customer with innovative solutions that solve customers’ problems at a price points that gives competitive edge without compromising quality and integrity.
- You will interface with external vendors, OEM, and sales team in ensuring optimum performance of the solution areas under your portfolio.
- You will guide the company on technological trends on areas you manage from time to time.
- You will be responsible for achieving the financial target of the business for the area of solutions you manage.
- The performance of the solutions will be evaluated from time to time as deemed fit by the organization.
- You will be part of a team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable solutions that is in line with customer requirement.
Responsibilities
- Speaking with customers via email, phone, physical meetings for initial requirement capture • Strong knowledge of Compute, Backup/DR, System and Microsoft Solutions.
- Knowledge of Network, Wireless, Collaboration, and Security Solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with OEMs, in-market field sellers, partner under your area of concentration.
- Keep up to date with various OEM product announcements and sales incentives and programsunder your area of coverage.
- Support sales team, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit, or as directed by Presales Lead or Sales Lead.
- Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the organization.
- Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported.
- Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities within clients.
- Collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and advanced.
- Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
- Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
- Builds relationships especially on C-level with customers and global partners that result in superior solutions and deeper loyalty and adoption of ITH’s solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
- Establishing the customer environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting and enforcing system standards.
- Design and implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current environment.
- Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
- Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
- Deliver Proof of Concepts (POC).
- Product presentations and demonstrations.
- Support with technical qualification of sales opportunities.
- Collaborates with sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.
- Provide answers to (technical) questions in a Request for Information (RFI) or a Request for Proposal (RFP).
- Support the team lead in preparing and implementing annual work and resource plans; supporting their applicability within the overall company strategy.
Requirements
- University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or other related courses or numerate disciplines.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, compute system diagnostic and compute system analytics tools.
- Proven hands-on experience on compute system projects.
- VCP/MSCE/ITIL/NPP.
- MSc will be an added Advantage, Virtualization Certificate (VMware/Microsoft/Nu tanix/RedHat), Storage Certificate (DellEMC/IBM/NETAPP), Server Certificate (DellEMC/IBM/HPE), Cloud Certificate (AWS/Azure/Oracle/Google), Backup Solution Certificate (CommVault/Veeam/Q uest/IBM/DellEMC/Sy mantec/Veritas), Network Certificate (Cisco/Fortinet/Brocade), ITIL.
- Good at organizing and multitasking and prioritize under pressure.
- Able to explain technical problems in a simple term.
- Work well with people and Willingness to travel.
- In depth knowledge of the compute solution (server, storage, virtualization, cloud, backup, disaster recovery, converge/hyperconverge system, Microsoft solutions).
- Analytical and problem solving ability.
- Teamwork skills and the ability to feel comfortable working with different teams, clients and groups of staff across an organization.
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize your workload.
