Job overview
- We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (MEP) to join our team at Mar & Mor Engineering Services Limited.
- The ideal candidate will provide leadership in planning, execution, and delivery of MEP projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and communicate effectively with Mar & Mor field supervision, subcontractors, and vendors to align project execution with approved MEP schedules.
- Represent Mar & Mor in all interactions with owners, architects, consultants, government authorities, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Oversee the financial aspects of contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal project team members.
- Review general contract documents, confirm budget setup, and establish project milestones in collaboration with the Project Lead.
- Prepare a detailed schedule of values, project logs, and safety/mobilization plans.
- Manage the purchasing process and ensure proper document control, including buy schedules, scopes of work, subcontracts, and compliance with insurance requirements.
- Oversee subcontractor onboarding, references, bonds, and project documentation.
- Track and manage purchase and delivery schedules, change orders, shop drawings, and project correspondence.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing team during trade buyouts, ensuring clear scope definition, scheduling alignment, and compliance.
- Attend and/or chair all relevant MEP meetings to monitor project progress and resolve challenges promptly.
- Manage all requisitions, payments, lien releases, and payroll processes to maintain optimal project cash flow.
- Coordinate project closeout activities including documentation, manuals, warranties, as-built drawings, owner training, and punch lists.
Requirements
- BSc, BTech, HND, or MSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 9 years post-NYSC experience managing MEP projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an added advantage.
- Must be a registered member of COREN and the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
