Tana River County is one of the forty seven (47) counties in the Republic of Kenya. The County takes its name from River Tana which is the longest river in Kenya. It is a County in the former Coast Province, Kenya with an area of 35,375.8 square kilometers (13,658.7 sq mi) and a population of 262,684 according to the 2012 census.

Job Description
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:
- Coordinating implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks across departments;
- Developing county performance indicators and targets;
- Supervising data analysis and report generation;
- Facilitating capacity building in Monitoring and Evaluation functions;
- Preparing county Monitoring and Evaluation reports for management and stakeholders; and
- Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:
- Served for at least three (3) years as Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (Job Group N) or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, or related field.
- Master’s degree in Monitoring Evaluation, Project Planning, Economics, or related field.
- Certificate in Monitoring Evaluation, Project Management, or Data Analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership and analytical competence.
